Your Wechat status is where you update your temporary mood or state of mind in the WeChat messages app. This status will disappear within 24 hours. Status is the best way to share your thoughts and catch your friend's attention.
Another day at the office, I would like to share with my friends quickly that I'm going on vacation soon. Therefore I could simply upload a WeChat status about it and share my vacation plan with the world!
I this post we will learn where to upload your WeChat status, what are the best statuses out there, and which status is a big no-no. But firstly, what is this word?
What is Status?
This word is from Latin and means posture or stand.
According to Merriam Webster dictionary:
"it means position or rank or relation to others, state or condition with respect to circumstances"
The status option is trendy among social media platforms. You can find it on Facebook, what's up, Twitter and now on WeChat. Similar to the other apps mentioned here, uploading status is super easy process.
How to upload WeChat status?
- Open WeChat, press on ME tab then on the status option next to your profile photo.
2. Choose a status within the 27 option here. The status option is separated per section. You will find here feelings, work & study, activities, breaks, and "others." If you want your friends to pay attention, you can choose between the following statuses: insomnia, broken gossiping, or streaming.
- Add a text.
- Add location.
- Write a hashtag so more people might see it.
- Press on "that's it" and upload status.
Want to watch your friend's status?
This option is only available if your friend shared status or uploaded one.
On me tab, next to the status, you might see three dots, press on it.
Now you will get a list of friends' statuses. You can press on it and reach your friend's WeChat page.
You can press the "like button," which comes in the shape of a heart below it, or send them a private message about this.

You have only a few minutes to delete or edit this post! So do it before it's too late by pressing on your status and then on editing or deleting.
